pylorns — Thu, 03/15/2012 - 09:43

Hey guys - haven't posted anything here in quite some time but we're still around. Most of the local guys who help out with the IntelLanfest partnered up with SxSW this past week and held a trial run lan party at the Screenburn arcade. From Zittware:

I wanted to thank those of you for coming out and supporting LANFest and Intel in the community at SxSw.

I believe we received a lot of great visibility in the community along with some good donations to the United Way Bastrop fire fund.

EA's Origin Customer Service Policies are Horrible

pylorns — Wed, 07/20/2011 - 18:18

Just got word that the Intel LanFest which was originally scheduled for San Antonio has been moved back to Austin due to unforeseeable events. Here are the details from the website:

Unfortunately, We had a “april fools” day joke played on us at the previous venue which had the effect of removing us as approved to be on campus. Rather than cancelling event; we have moved the event north to our Austin Campus for the same time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Much thanks to the guys at Powers Gaming for putting on an awesome winter lan event - there was some serious competition at TF2, CS Source, and Battlefield Bad Company 2, including a match that went until 4am to settle up. The good news is there is another event there right around the corner in May here in Austin that you can attend.
